Astra Evadia: The Purple Dot In The Sky
Astra Evadia was the first attempt to find a celestial object to host the future of Kerbals.
Astra Evadia was the first attempt to find a celestial object to host the future of Kerbals.
The United States of Kerbelia wanted to find a new homeworld to populate incase of Nuclear War with Syracrus. Thus, they funded a project for N.S.P.: Find a celestial body that could inhabit life. Eve was the first idea that came to mind. N.S.P. decided to test their transfer vehicle first.
As apart of a contract by the Kerbelian Government, Kupera Aeronautics built and sent a spacecraft around Eve to scope the Planet out. Results were promising, thus prompting further exploration.
After the results of Astra Evadia 3, N.S.P. decided to send an unmaned probe to Eve orbit to try to get a look at what was under the thick layers of clouds. Sadly, nothing could be seen.
N.S.P. decided to send an unmanned space prob directly into the heart of Eve. Pressure was reading nominal as decent was occuring, but as it got below 10 kilometers, pressure went way up, and nearly crushed the probe. As it touched down, only 1 picture of the surface was taken. Sadly, the probe later got crushed after this.
N.S.P. decided to try again at Eve, but from orbit. Thus, they sent their glorified Astra Sailor Mk.2 up to Eve to drop off a Space Station Part. A robotic arm capture the moment, thus producing a historical photo.
To add onto this station, N.S.P. decidied to add on a power module that included fuel. Due to the distance from the Sun, solar panels would be more efficient than near kerbin, thus allowing less pannels to be used. Along with this, thermal systems were put into this new module to allow for the station to cool down.
