Operation Explodium
Presence within reactivity
Presence within reactivity
After N.S.P. figured out how to deal with corrosive environments through research on Tekto, they decided to give Eve another chance at the question of habitability. So, they developed and launched Kerbals to Eve and back on an Astra Evadia 2, and this shocked everyone because every scientist thought this was impossible. Furthermore, this obtained N.S.P. funding for future missions.
Now that Kerbals surveyed the area for landing, and scientific tests determined Eve to be suitable for a colony and outpost for launching missions closer to the sun, The United States of Kerbelia wanted to establish an outpost on Eve to continue further research into the area. Thus, a surface outpost, similar to the one on Tekto, was sent to Eve. It resembled the Tekto one because it was already known to be well equiped for harsh atmospheres.
After all readings on the base were good, and supplies were stashed safely, N.S.P. sent crew to inhabit the colony which was near a coastline of Eve. They would be helpful there to build a future launch complex, along with assisting in scientific data and determining if staying on Eve for long-term was worth it.
Using the manufacturing hub that was inside of the Eve colony, Kerbals spent countless hours creating a launch complex that was to be located 3 kilometers away. After while, it was finally built, and it was deemed ready for use on orbital platforms.Â
Using the now existing orbital launch base, nicknamed "Explodium Area," N.S.P. launched a satellite through the thick atmosphere of Eve to a polar orbit. Now, compared to the other rockets launches to Eve, this one was extremely cheap, and this goes to show how useful this colony as a whole will be to Kerbals in the future.
After a fully functioning base was established on Eve, N.S.P., over many long years, worked on Terraforming Eve to become similar to Kerbin. This process would require oxygen, plant life, and other magnetic materials to be transported to Eve to allow them to create a sustainable atmosphere and a stronger magnetic field. Along with this, N.S.P. would develop a machine that would convert CO2 into oxygen, and the resulting carbon would be implanted into the soil, giving it a brown color. The explodium oceans, however, would be used to power this, and the hydrogen from resulting reactions in the soil would seep into ocean, resulting in water. After many years, it eventually ended successfully.
