Ikreland is considered to be one of the 3 major world powers, as it is classifed as a World Country. Furthermore, is the 5th largest country, and holds a population of nearly 670 million Kerbals. It is located to the West of Leeland, and South of Kerbelia.
History
Ikreland is the second oldest country to exist on Kerbin, just right behind Kerbelia. Founded in 1856 by Kerbelian colonizers, it has gradually shaped its way as one of three major world powers. And, due to its large population being mainly Kerbelians, it has held close ties to the Mother Land, as Ikreland has worked with Kerbelia throughout the years in global peace, and rocketry. Another fun fact, is that Ikrelandw as the second country to enter space!
GeoPolitcal Stance
As of recently, and a long time, Ikreland has mainly be Western-World oriented, as it has heritage of Kerbelians who founded the nation in 1856. Along with this, kerbelia faught many of the revolutionaries in Ikreland during the Red revolution, making them closer together as allies. Although competitors in space for a while, they have grown past their differences, and worked together.
Advancements
Ikreland is the second nation to ever visit space, just right behind Kerbelia, who visited in 1985. Ikreland visted in 1990, which is not a huge gap of time. Along with this, they have been working with Kerbelia to create fussion reactors and fission reactors to power the future of space travel. They rank 2nd in GDP per capita, and 3rd in terms of Gross Domestic Product.
