Kerbelia, Properly known as the United States of Kerbelia, is the oldest of all countries on Kerbin, and is the 3rd largest, just behind Syracuse. Kerbelia is considered a World-Country, and a Superpower. It is home to 1.5 billion Kerbals, and holds the strongest economy world-wide. It is located North of Ikreland, and East of Kerbelia.
History
Kerbelia was formed in the year 1776. They faught for their independence against the Minmutian forces, who were ruling over Kerbin during that time, and exploiting it for its resources. Eventually, though, the Kerbelians got the upperhand in the war, and kicked the Minmutians out of Kerbin. Later, the Minmutians would die off due to an asteriod impacting Minmus, which would later be named after a general from the war. Every nation on Kerbin has its roots from Kerbelia, and the first offspring of Kerbelia was Syracuse. Syracuse started the Orange war of 2005 to get independence from Kerbelia, and they did this only to be thought as a different nationality. After many years, Kerbelia withdrew from Syracuse slowly, as it believed the world needed more freedom.
GeoPolitcal Stance
As of recently, the United States of Kerbelia is a Western-World leading country, and it is one of the main leaders of this faction of geo politics. Furthermore, it has fostered the keys of democracy for generations, along with ending foreign conflicts and wars through peace, and not arms. However, when it is required to fight, it will. As seen in the global Red Revolution, Kerbelia was the first nation defeat the communistic foes, and it even helped the rest of the world with their struggles, acting as a beam of freedom throughout Kerbin.

Advancements
Kerbelia is a world leader of new technologies in the world, as they were the first nation to space, and many other regions in space. It is home to two of the world's leading Aerospace companies, Nicholas Space Productions, and Kerbal Mechanical Labs. Along with this, they are the leader in the military complex industry, and stealth technology. Furthermore, Kerbelia controls 90% of all communciations satellites. Kerbelia is 1st in Gross Domestic product, and 1st in GDP per capita, giving it most economic control over the world, as it is a wealthy nation.
